Instead of wearing the same colors, wear colors that are complementary to each other. This will make you look more comfortable, natural and not forced. Match your environment. Think about where you are taking your photos: are you in the mountains, your home, a cafe, an opera house? Think about what you would wear if you were in that environment naturally. Don't let your patterns or colors fight the environment. Sticking to neutral colors is always the best to go when you are unsure.
